Depending on where you are or end up being “different” will require you to stand alone in openly expressing your beliefs and values. In a setting of higher education where growth and development gets to its tipping point, and advocacy for ourselves and each other is crucial, the process of accepting our identities and being unapologetic of who we are should very much be at the forefront. This talk will explain how our unique, raw experiences need to be owned by us and demonstrate the importance of advocacy to help us rise to the places we want to reach.
