Multicultural Education in the Age of Trump: The Role of Advocacy

Multicultural Education in the Age of Trump will offer a perspective through the lenses of critical race theory on the importance of multicultural education from K-College in bridging the racial divide taking place in American society. The highlight of the presentation will be based on the work done by the presenters as they engaged with the Colorado State Legislature in advocating for Support HB17-1022 that supports the inclusion of multicultural education in K-12 Colorado Schools. This will be followed by an engaging dialogue with participants relative to the advocacy role that Universities can play in the promotion of multicultural education in America as it faces disunity in the Age of Trump.
