Pretty Fly for a WiFi

Full participation in higher education requires access to the internet. Unfortunately, many of our students cannot afford this service in their homes. To help address this problem, the Auraria Library began circulating Wifi Hotspots that students can check out like a book and bring home with them for weeks at a time. This session outlines the program above and how it can be adopted by other institutions. Also addressed is how the technical infrastructure we invest in communicates who value and what we value, often at the expense of vulnerable populations.
